Volkswagen ID.4: Manage services

The following functions are available for deactivating and activating services:

• Block or enable data transfer via the Infotainment system.
• Where possible: activate and deactivate individual services via your Volkswagen user account on the website or in the app.

You will not be able to use these services again until they have been reactivated.

If you individually deactivate all services, the control module with the integrated eSIM card can continue to transfer data.

Legally required services and the associated data transfer cannot be turned off or deactivated, such as the "eCall Emergency System".

Opening user management

1. On the home screen of the Infotainment system, tap User or User management.

Setting options

Depending on the vehicle equipment, these setting options may be available:

• Me (Primary user).
• Others (Secondary users).
• Key.
• Mobile key.
• Setup.

Description of user role

Only the vehicle owner or persons who do not have only a temporary authorization to use the vehicle, e.g. lessees or company car drivers, are entitled as primary users to order and activate the services for a specific vehicle.

Primary user

• The "primary user" role is intended for the registered keeper or for a user of the vehicle who is not merely a temporary user, e.g. lessee or company car driver.
• There is only one primary user for each vehicle. When a new primary user is confirmed, the previous primary user automatically loses their user role. The previous primary user is informed of this.
